Some weddings stay with you long after the last song has played, and Ellie and Titus’s ceremony was truly one of those. From beginning to end, their wedding was beautiful, fun, deeply meaningful and filled with so much love — an absolute honour to create and deliver.
Set against the glorious backdrop of Clevedon Hall, Ellie and Titus chose a celebrant-led ceremony that placed their story, their family and their values right at the heart of the day. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they publicly proclaimed their love and commitment to one another in the most heartfelt way. The day was also brilliantly captured by the super-talented Charlie Britz.
A Beautiful Beginning
The ceremony began with the mums making their entrance, followed by the bridesmaids. Ellie then entered with her dad, Phil, to the soulful sound of “If I Ain’t Got You” — a moment filled with emotion and quiet anticipation.
A special blessing marked the giving away, before I welcomed everyone and shared just how special it is to witness two people stand before those they love the most and promise to spend their lives together.
There is truly nothing like a wedding, and today Ellie and Titus shared not only their love, but their commitment, hopes and dreams for the future — in front of the people who mean the world to them.
Loved Ones from Near and Far
One of the most touching parts of the day was the incredible gathering of loved ones, many of whom had travelled from across the globe to be there — Germany, Malta, Abu Dhabi, Kenya, the Bahamas, Australia and the USA.
It is a rare and beautiful thing to have so many special people together in one place, and Ellie and Titus knew just how fortunate they were to be surrounded by such warmth, love and friendship.
Each guest was an honoured part of the day, invited to witness one of the most significant moments in the lives of two truly lovely people as they pledged their love and commitment to each other.
A Ceremony Filled with Meaning
Titus’s mum, Lola, delivered a heartfelt Bible reading, followed by a beautiful blessing from Titus’s Uncle Solomon, which was just incredible to witness.
I then shared Ellie and Titus’s love story — from first connecting in 2019, when Ellie had moved to London to complete her postgraduate studies in Law, to their very first date at London Zoo. Their relationship grew naturally and effortlessly, rooted in deep connection, love and laughter. They knew early on that they had found their person.
Family was at the very centre of this ceremony, and we took a moment of reflection to remember Titus’s dad, who is sadly no longer with us but was so deeply present in spirit throughout the day.
I shared the many things Ellie and Titus love and admire about one another, their proposal story, and their hopes and aspirations for the life they are building together. This part of the ceremony concluded beautifully with Ellie’s mum reading a fabulous poem by Dolly Alderton — a moment that resonated with so many.
Music, Laughter and Joy
One of the absolute highlights of the ceremony was an unforgettable sing-along to Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten”. The song holds special family significance, and as the music played, every single guest joined in — dancing, singing and filling Clevedon Hall with the most electric atmosphere. It was pure joy.
Promises for Life
The final part of the ceremony saw Ellie and Titus exchange their vows and promises, alongside a vow from their family and friends, followed by the exchange of rings.
The ceremony concluded with a deeply meaningful handfasting ritual, with both mums involved in tying the knots. Ellie and Titus each chose a ribbon, featuring three colours to symbolise the wishes they hold for their marriage — a powerful and emotional moment that beautifully represented unity, love and support.
A Ceremony to Treasure
Ellie and Titus are an incredibly beautiful couple who were fully invested in creating a ceremony that reflected who they are — and it was a joy to be part of every step. I truly loved creating and delivering the ceremony of their dreams, and I do not doubt that their marriage will be filled with the same love, laughter and connection that defined their wedding day.
